Principal's Message

Greetings Summit Hill Elementary School Family,

For those of you new to the SHE community…WELCOME! You have joined a very engaged community and we hope that you and your family feel at home. In the city of Milton, we are proud of our highly effective elementary, middle, and high schools and with all of the choices, let me say thank you for choosing Summit Hill Elementary! Thank you for your trust! Our staff is one of the best in Fulton County and I am very confident that your children are in great hands!

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education, a Masters of Education, a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate of Education. I have served children for almost 28 years and it IS the BEST job in the WORLD!

As the parent of three children, I recognize and understand the importance of a strong home and school connection. Parents are every child's first teacher and we encourage your involvement…your partnership! SHE is a very special place for children in large part because of the strong partnerships between the SHE staff and its parents. This important connection creates a solid foundation and ensures that at school and home, children are provided with a well-rounded early-childhood experience. SHE is a school where we ALL strive to help and excel in all we do! Staff, Parents, Community Members, and Students! We create opportunities for students to SHINE in academic ways, in creative ways, in unique ways, and by helping and serving their community! Without a doubt, it’s always a GREAT day up on the HILL!   

I will be working closely with our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Santos, and all staff at SHE, to guarantee that your child is involved in high-quality instruction, has opportunities to develop the 7 habits of Leaders in Me (based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covy), and always has access to the social and emotional support, when needed.
